Baby Quilts
In case you think I haven’t been quilting… I have, and I’d rather be quilting than working on posts!
Trudy’s sweet baby quilt. Her first quilt and you never would have guessed. She has piecing talent! Freehand quilted with white thread.

Here’s one I pieced and had fun playing with the quilting. This one was completed and gifted in July. DNA meets Dino’s in space. Freehand quilting with white thread.

Three beauties for Shirley
All freehand quilting. Light gray SoFine thread, bleached Hobbs 80/20

Offwhite SoFine thread, unbleached Hobbs 80/20

A creamy colored SoFine thread, Hobbs 80/20 batting.

Pretties, new and old!
I’m way behind on posts. These were done in June.
Vicky’s bright and cheerful quilt. White thread, freehand flower swirls design. Bleached Hobbs 80/20 batting.

Antique bow-tie quilted for Shirley. Hearts and swirls in an off white Superior SoFine. Unbleached Hobbs 80/20 batting.

Red & White Part 2
Here’s more red & white quilts I quilted including my entries.
Sally Z’s beauty with hand applique. SoFine thread in a cream and Hobbs 80/20 batt. Outlined applique, feathers in the coral borders and leaves in the tan borders. Feather circle in the corner blocks.

This one is mine. Designed in EQ7. Some paper piecing. Freehand and ruler work for the quilting.

This one is also mine. I used the Ann Loveless technique to design and create this little quilt. I used white netting.

Red & White Excitement Part 1
Over the last few months, I have been privileged to quilt several red & white quilts for quilters entering their quilts in the Big Red Quilters Guild Red & White Challenge. The big reveal and contest winners were announced last night so now I can post pictures of the quilts that I quilted. Three of these quilts took ribbons! How exciting is that?
Sally L’s beautiful pinwheel quilt won in the large traditional category. I freehand quilted with some ruler work, Hobbs 80/20 bleached batting, Superior SoFine thread in white.

Linda C’s petite and lovely pineapple won in the small traditional category. This one was double batted, Hobbs 80/20 unbleached with Hobbs wool on top. Superior SoFine in white and red. Freehand and ruler work.

Barb S’s stunning hand applique leaves took people’s choice. Hobbs 80/20 bleached and Superior SoFine in white and red. Freehand quilted. This quilt’s colors are so vibrant it is difficult to see the quilting in pictures!

Okay, enough for one day. I have a few more red-whites to share soon.
Beautiful Scrappy Throw
Shirley’s beautiful quilt was so fun to quilt. Superior SoFine in the center area, a shade of green in the outer border. Hobbs 80/20 unbleached batt.

An Adorable Wall-hanging and Lovely Throw
Sally Z’s adorable hand applique wall-hanging. I outlined the leaves in the border and added the crosshatching. Client supplied thread and batting.

Beth S’s lovely throw quilt. Wool batt supplied by client. I love the ‘puff’! I used a stencil for the centers and continuous curve in the light triangles of the pinwheels. Border used part of the stencil and a ruler. Omni thread to match background.

Christmas in March
Ann’s Christmas tree quilt. Freehand holly and loops edge to edge. Glide in medium gray to give it some sparkle. The snow at the bottom got white Omni. Batting supplied by client.
