An Adorable Wall-hanging and Lovely Throw

Sally Z’s  adorable hand applique wall-hanging.  I outlined the leaves in the border and added the crosshatching. Client supplied thread and batting.

Beth S’s lovely throw quilt.  Wool batt supplied by client.  I love the ‘puff’!  I used a stencil for the centers and continuous curve in the light triangles of the pinwheels. Border used part of the stencil and a ruler. Omni thread to match background.

A Beautiful Queen Quilt

Shirley’s beautiful queen sized quilt. This 99 x 99 quilt just didn’t fit in one picture!  While large, it was a fun one to quilt. I quilted the rows down one side then turned the quilt and went down the other side. And I took pictures as I went so I didn’t forget what I had done in each row!  Hobbs 80/20 batting, SoFine thread in an off white color.

A Bright Baby Quilt

I created this bright baby quilt for a friend. She received it this past weekend so I can post it now. I didn’t have a pattern, just made it up as I went.  Then quilted it using a variegated thread in this fun spiral edge to edge pattern.

The Peaceful Butterfly Quilt

This Lenten quilt was constructed by members of First Presbyterian Church of Holland and quilted by me.   It’s message is that peace begins with each and every one of us. It is spread through the world by our peaceful conduct.   Hobbs 80/20 batting, free hand quilting with some ruler work. The dimensional butterflies were added after quilting was done. I turned the quilt sideways so the 3D butterfly path would be in the machine quilting area at the same time.
